SMSD-9.0 is a programmable step motor controller to control 2-phase and 4-phase stepper motors with bipolar connection.

- Microstepping provided: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32
- Max. output current: 2,8 up to 9,0 A per phase
- Voltage range: 24-80VDC

SMSD step motor controllers provide 3 main types of motor control:

1) Driver mode with logic signals STEP/DIR.
The voltage level on the inputs - 0VDC is low level and 5-24VDC is high level. Motion can be prohibited by additional EN.

• Pulse/Dir mode - voltage pulses as "Step" signal and voltage level as "Direction" signal.
• A-phase + B-phase pulse signals - two phase pulse train with 90° difference.

2) Analog control - manual operation mode.
Speed adjusting:
- proportional to analog voltage signal 0-5VDC
- external potentiometer
- internal built-in potentiometer

For system integration digital inputs are provided:
- REVERSE
- STOP

3) Programmable mode and preset motion algorithm.
All operation parameters for SMSD-1.5 stepper controller are set by commands from a computer:
- speed, acceleration and deceleration, direction, distance, pauses, cycles, waiting for external signals, turn on/off programmable relay for output signals.
The sequence of the commands is stored in EEPROM. SMSD-1.5 can operate in standalone mode or be controlled by a computer.

Communication interface is RS-232 (virtual COM), USB connection.
Cable and GUI program for windows is included to the package.
