Two-axis step motor drive controller SMC-2

SMC-2 is two-axis logic controller for stepper drives, which provides synchronized or standalone operation of two stepper drives. The device is represented with electronic palm operator with display and button panel.

The algorithm of step motor drive operation is set into the controller's memory separately for each axis. Customer can change the algorithm for each axis by button panel. Algorithm consist of simple commands: speed, acceleration and deceleration, direction, distance to move, pauses, set signal to the other axis or wait signal from the other axis, create cycles of repeated operations.

Stepper drive can be manipulated manually - in jog mode.

Commands to assemble stepmotor movement algorithm: Start Speed, Final Speed, Acceleration/Deceleration, Enable/Disable, Steps number, Continuous movement, Pause, Labels, Cycles, Wait signal from other axis, Set signal to other axis.

Commands to start/stop motor: operator with SMC-2 controller can start or stop separately each step drive or both drives at one time.

Output commands to stepmotor drives: STEP (frequency - voltage pulses), DIR (level), ENABLE (level), MICRO (level).

Power supply: 12-18VDC or 9-15VAC
