Magsafe provides a new approach to safety gate interlocking and access control solutions. Magsafe offers a combination of safety innovation and cost effective design. An electro-magnetic interlock system for controlling personnel access through the gates and doors set within the perimeter safety fencing or screens surrounding potentially hazadous machinery. The Magsafe magnetic safety gate interlocks provide interlocking and access control for a wide range of applications in the food and drinks, automotive, buildings materials, paper industries and many others.
The key design element in Magsafe was to lock the door using magnetic force rather than by mechanical means and to remove the problems that plague existing gate locks due to liquid and dirt exposure in combination with the rigors of daily operation. This causes fatigue and leads to mechanical failue of the product.
Magsafe now offers the ability to monitor up to 2 magnets from a single low cost (DIN rail mount) Control Unit or the system can be extended by connecting Extender Modules (DIN rail mount) to allow for up to 8 monitored magnets on one system. The Magsafe system provides even greater flexibility in safety gate/access control design.
