Today absolutely indispensable, biodegradable lubricants are used particularly in the following areas :
* Chain lubrication,
* Railways,
* Metal work,
* Bearings,
* Form removal (concrete), etc.
Defined by the CEC L 33 T 82 standard, the biodegradability of a lubricant is characterized by its biological transformation in the presence of water by micro-organisms, after 21 days.
A product is considered to be biodegradable when its transformation falls >70% in 21 days.
