The food industry uses specific standards :
1. H1 : Lubricant able to come into contact, accidentally or occasionally, with foodstuffs or their packaging,
2. H2 : Lubricant able to come into contact, accidentally or occasionally, with foodstuffs or their packaging, however accepted in the food industry.
The products indicated below meet the H1 or H2 requirements.
In addition, they also present the following properties :
* Reduce friction and wear,
* Resist damp atmospheres as well as cleaners and disinfectants specific to the food industry,
* Prevent corrosion,
* Discourage the development of micro-organism (bacteria, yeast, fungus),
* Protect the mechanism of abrasive substances (seal function),
* Resist foodstuffs and their additives,
* Disperse heat.
