Stripping agents apply above all to the wood industry: particle board, strand board (OSB), medium-density fibreboard (MDF).
Water soluble stripping agents are used in low concentrations (<5% in water) and sprayed onto the top of the board (“mast”) and/or the conveyor (metal or elastomer).
The stripping agent is sprayed on at the pre-press level, hence offering the following advantages :
* This avoids and minimizes soiling of the belt,
* The panel is evenly cooked,
* This increases productivity (quicker cooking).
Stripping agents are also applied in sand foundry (automatic process of the Disamatic type).
Finally, stripping agents can be based on different silicones. They are then water soluble or non water soluble and are used in the aluminium, plastics industries, etc.
