Type A - Bright Finish - HSS - For general centering operations on workpieces requiring additional machining between centres. (Din 333 - 0.8-10), (BS 328 - BS1-BS7)

Type B - Bright Finish - HSS - For general centering operations as in Type A, but to produce a protected centre. (Din 333 - 1-10)

Type R - Bright Finish - HSS - Same as Type A, but produces a radius centre suitable for a variety of male centre angles. (Din 333 - 1-10)

American Standard - Bright Finish - HSS - Same as Type A. (Ansi B94.11M 1979 - No. 1-7)
