The Sonacoat P can be used for measuring coating present on steel and non-ferrous metals. The device is non-destructive and quick when being used. It can be used to measure paintwork thickness and other coatings. Also it finds use in obtaining information about coating structure, such as paint top coats or body fillers. The device can indicate use of filler material for repair work or repainting if the measured thickness value clearly exceeds the standard paintwork thickness. The Sonacoat P is suitable for car dealers, paint shops and inspectors. The device does not cause any damage to the equipment. It also does not require any grinding. It uses two methods for the measurement which are the Magnetic method and the Eddy Current method, (DIN EN ISO 2178 and 2360).
