Magnetically coupled centrifugal pumps of building group 2 are non-self-priming centrifugal pumps with volute casing. They operate in horizontal position and are built in monobloc design. A magnetic coupling connects the pump to the electromotor and transmits the power of the motor to the impeller.

Housing, impeller, impeller magnet coating and rear casing can be made of either glass-fibre reinforced PP plastic or PVDF. Sleeve bearings, starting ring and centering shaft are made of 99.7% pure oxide ceramic. O-ring sealing of the housing is made of FPM or EPDM or FEP (optionally available).
