The contactless pig detector SONOPIPE 12 is designed to detect pigs in pipelines. The detector monitors the passage of pigs during cleaning and testing operations in pipelines used for the transport of e.g. crude oil, liquefied gas or water.

The pig detector can be easily upgraded at any time. One further advantage of our simple and reliable method is that the sensors are attached to the outside of the pipeline and are therefore not subject to wear. Furthermore, all risks associated with the opening up of apertures in the pipeline and consequent damages are a thing of the past.

Installation and operation is simple and possible without any interruption to operations. The sensors have been granted ATEX certification.
