N2-GEN® C Series
Nitrogen Generator

The South-Tek Systems N2-GEN® C Series Nitrogen Generator is
a PSA (Pressure Swing Absorption) designed system for high
purity Nitrogen applications. The C Series has the capability of
generating Nitrogen with purities up to 99.9995%.
High purity Nitrogen is generated
via the PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)
process. PSA is the process
where compressed air is applied
to a vessel fi lled with carbon
molecular sieve (CMS) material; i.e.,
activated carbon. When compressed
air is introduced into this CMS fi lled
vessel, Nitrogen is not absorbed into
the CMS material but all other gas
molecules are absorbed, hence high
purity Nitrogen is allowed to fl ow
freely through an outlet of the vessel.
The Nitrogen molecules are then
collected in a surge/storage tank for
process use. Periodically, the vessel
is vented to atmosphere allowing
the gas impurities to be released,
refreshing the CMS for continued
Nitrogen generation.
