Spiral
Innovative, efficient design, based on time-proven technology, is the hallmark of SpanTech's latest generation of spiral conveyors. Our versatile Spirals are an ideal choice for many different applications, including cooling or freezing, heating, inclining/declining and more.
Features & Benefits
Completely Captured Acetal Chain:
The chain is kept securely in place by hold-down tabs along the entire spiral path, and cannot release. This design means no "tenting," no take-ups or tensioners, no adjustments needed. Acetal chain won't oxidize like stainless steel, is easier to clean, and weighs about half as much.
No Catenary:
The traditional up and down catenary festoon has been eliminated. The chain uses its compression to control excess chain at the exit of the tension drive.
Direct Drive:
A direct-drive, shaft mounted, SEW Eurodrive gearmotor or internal ring gear drive system eliminates the lubrication problems, maintenance headaches, and employee hazards associated with traditional sprockets and roller chains. It is also of course much cleaner than an exposed roller chain drive.
