Intrinsically Safe RF Pickup Specs - IS Flow Meter Sensors
Intrinsically Safe RF pickups are a derivative or our standard RF pickups and are certified by FM Global to meet requirements of Class I, Zone 0, AEx [ia] IIC, Class I, II, III, Division 1, Group ABCDEFG.
CAUTION: These sensors MUST be installed with an FM Global approved IS barrier. Installations must meet the requirements of intrinsically safe systems for hazardous (classified) locations and must follow details specified in FM Global control drawing 85046.
SPECTEC's Intrinsically Safe RF flow sensors are designed to operate in hazardous locations to detect ferrous, 316 stainless steel or aluminum targets, such as flow meters and turbine engines.
RF4 pickups are designed to work with the applicable SPECTEC, Cox F&P and other carrier signal conditioners.
RF10 pickups work with the applicable SPECTEC, FTI, Hoffer, Sponsler and other carrier signal conditioners.
An internal temperature probe (NTC10, RTD100 or others) is available which is positioned near the face of the sensor.
