DUMMY/ELECTRONIC LOAD - UP TO 12kV to 24kW
Features
It features an active Solid State design allowing the load to be dynamically varied using a manual
front panel digital potentiometer or remotely using an analogue input signal 0-10VDC. The load is
fully isolated and allows input voltages from 600V to 10,000VDC in either positive or negative
polarity.
The power is dissipated in element cards fitted into a backbone consisting of commonly sourced
semiconductor FET's fitted to aluminum-based printed circuit boards. The arrangement allows
optimum transfer of power into a cooling air flow. A single failure on an element card will not result
in complete failure of the load.
A fan failure will result in a shutdown of the load to a safe condition.
The maximum load current is limited to 2.5Amp with a maximum input voltage of 10kV where the
input power is limited to the power rating of the dummy load.
Manual control of the dummy load impedance is achieved using a front panel digital potentiometer.
