Fall arrest system

It is a part of the personal protective equipment against falls from height and can be used at all work places where there is a risk of falling. Retractable type fall arresters are especially advantageous, since a user has freedom of movement while working owing to a permanently active automatic locking device. This arresting function, initiated irrespective of the user, always ensures minimal fall distance. As a result, fall arrest forces exerted on the human body are very low. The automatic initiation of the retractable type fall arrester is activated on an increase in the pulling velocity (greater than 1 m/s). A built-in spring maintains the defined pre-tension in the coupling element (steel rope or webbing) between the user and the device permanently, so that the fall arrester is immediately activated in the event of a fall.
