Typically used for retrieving and returning, the motor spring has many uses.
Motor springs can be configured in many different ways. In some, the spring is wound in the same direction around the larger torque output drum. In others, the spring is bent in the opposite direction. This configuration stores more energy per weight of spring but does reduce the fatigue performance.
