SPRESCAN 3D-L creates a data record which contains a full three-dimensional image of the log. Therefore, all relevant log properties can be calculated such as diameter of log top, middle and stump as well as volume, tapering, sweep and ovality. Each scanner consists of 4 high-capacity matrix cameras and 7 continuous wave lasers.
