MK02/6 and MK02/7 Reed Sensors in reality are patented ferromagnetic proximity switches. The device does not require actuating magnets for its functioning and will work well in the presence of ferrous metal. It comes with four package option and has through hole PCB mounting style. The sensor can be actuated from either the front or above the sensor.
MK02/6 and MK02/7 Reed Sensors can be used in place of inductive proximity sensors. It does not require any power in order to operate. Its tolerance level may be set by the user and is independent of the magnet. The device may be used for various applications such as end travel sensing limit switches and position control. It may also be used for door and window control, opening recognition contact and metal fire protection doors.
