Thread milling cutter
STELLRAM

The advent of modern machining centers allows for simultaneous multi-axis machining. This permits thread milling operations to be completed easily with the use of helical interpolation programming and economically with modern tools and methods.

The Stellram® system includes solid carbide tools for threads from M6 or 1/4" UNC and the world patented indexable insert system with single insert, twin insert and four inserted tools for ultimate flexibility.

The Stellram thread milling system is 100% full thread form on inserts and solid carbide tools.

They produce a thread to within 1 pitch of the bottom of blind or counterbored holes. No undercuts are required, therefore no pre-work and fewer tools required. Thread mills produce a thread to any size or tolerance in a predictable and consistent manner. Right hand or left hand threads can be produced with the same tool.

Stellram's thread mills complete a thread in one machine set up. Tools with NPT, NPTF, BSPT, BSW thread forms produce internal, external, right hand and left hand threads with the same tools. They produce easy to handle chips, minimize power requirements and interrupted cuts and casting mis-match is no problem. Excellent surface finish eliminates deburring operations. Multi-start threads are easy to produce and there are no broken taps to remove.
