DESCRIPTION/USES Stonlux SL is a multi-component, epoxy based floor surfacing system designed to provide an attractive, smooth, easy-to-clean, chemically resistant surface. Stonlux SL is available in two thickness options: 2 mm or 3 mm. The floor area to be surfaced must be: 1. FLAT • Stonlux SL is a free-flowing system; therefore, it is essential that the installation surface be flat. It is very important to patch rough substrates before application of Stonlux SL. 2. STRUCTURALLY SOUND • No loose or crumbling concrete. • No laitance or unbonded cement particles. • No previously applied toppings, sealers or paints. 3. CLEAN • No wax, grease, oils, fats, soil, loose or foreign material and laitance. 4. DRY • All traces of moisture must be removed. Also, moisture must not be allowed to come in contact with the Stonlux SL during installation and curing. Do not use water or steam in the vicinity of the application. Moisture can seriously affect working time and other properties of the Stonlux SL and MUST BE AVOIDED! 5. WARM • Temperatures of both the floor and the Stonlux SL components must be at least 65°F/18°C. Do not attempt to install the material if the tempera- ture of the components is above 85°F/30°C. High temperatures will cause the material to harden (cure) more quickly than desired. Conversely, if the temperature of the components is 65°F/18°C or lower, the Stonlux SL system will be stiff and difficult to apply.
