Power Drive Drum Rotator STE05 / STP05-DRU01-Ex Make light work of tipping and transporting heavy drums. Two power options are available: electric hydraulic which utilises on-board batteries, or a pneumatic-hydraulic model which can be certified for ATEX areas. Our drum rotators can be fitted with either our universal drum band or alternatively a power clamp and rotation head assembly; both heads can be configured to handle drums and barrels from 50 to 220 litres. Power drive Each power drive drum rotator model is designed, built and tested in our UK manufacturing facility. Our engineering team sources only the highest quality components ensuring each drum tipper is robust and requires minimal maintenance. Electric - Comprised of a large battery bank and an electric motor this drive option is suitable for non-ATEX areas. An on-board battery charger is located within the control box, simply connect a mains power supply whenever the batteries are discharged to return the unit to a charged state. Pneumatic - Operators connect an airline to the control box which powers a pneumatic-hydraulic circuit. The drive wheel is hydraulic powered similar to that of the lift function and can be certified for use in an ATEX area. Control hoses are located inside the steering tiller offering precise drive control during manoeuvring. Tiller controls Our heavy duty drum tipper has a power drive system that can be controlled from the rear via a steerable tiller. When placing drums precision is important, the speed control is variable and is adjusted using the throttles on the tiller.
