The SMB109 is a highly integrated and flexible quad/octal output power manager designed for use in a wide range of applications from notebook computers and set-top boxes to servers and network equipment. The built-in non-volatile digital programmability allows system designers to custom tailor the device to suit almost any multi- output power supply application.

The SMB109 integrates all the essential blocks required to implement a complete four to eight output power subsystem with synchronous high current step-down "buck" converters. Also the SMB109 includes an LDO controller for lower current applications.

External sequencing/tracking FET control allows for supporting up to eight total outputs form the four main converters. Source and sink capability with VDDQ/VTT tracking is built into the switchers to support DDR termination applications. The SMB109 has a wide input range of 4.5V to 28V and output voltages are typically accurate to <1%.
