SWE230S Hybrid excavator is a new product launched by Sunward on Aug, 2010. This excavator is a result of five years technique research and performance test. Applied electric drive system into traditional excavator to achieve a innovative hybrid power system of oil–electric, it could keep engine at optimized range, increase the efficiency of fuel consumption while improving emission. This product has altered the traditional swing drive style to develop an energy collect system which based on electric machine regenerate brake with electric machine/engine as its power supplier.
By adopting parallel hybrid power system, developing a quasi-stable work point control strategy basing on the prediction of working condition and implementing reliable high-efficiency enery management, we make engine work in optimized working point or range, improve fuel economy and decrease emission. The oil-electric drive system can optimize working condition of engine. According to the rest result, under typical 90-degress-swing lodaing operation fuel consumption is reduced by 24.7%, and toxic gas emission is reduced by 32%.
