CX-400 reflective, retroreflective and thru-beam type
Within the CX-400 series, 116 models of ultracompact photoelectric sensors are available. Two thru-beam types and four retroreflective types are available. Despite their ultracompact size they have an exceptionally long sensing range. They also consume little power.

Eight diffuse reflective sensor types are available. Four use the triangulation measurement principle with foreground and background suppression (CX-440 series). A thru-beam type with background suppression and visible spot can detect objects of Ø 0.5mm. Rounding off the CX-400 series there are four diffuse reflective types.
