GrindLine is a robot based installation for fettling of cast goods. The installation contains all the components required for fettling of goods and the automatic in and out feed of items.

The core of this solution is SVIA's vision system PickVision™ and ABB's robot solution with Force Control. An ABB IRB6620 robot is included in the installation. The robot has a reach of 2.2 m and can handle weights of 150 kg. The robot ensures that the installation has a high capacity for fettling with the robot.

Two of the walls in GrindLine are intended for hanging machine tools. These tools can be changed quickly because the whole tool module is changed, there are quick connectors for media.

GrindLine is designed for minimum maintenance and is enclosed to improve the workplace environment as regards noise and dust. The solution also gives a compact installation that can be moved easily.
