Ecutec Barcelona S.L., a recent acquisition of Sweco, is a company that specializes in classifying, coating and grinding of fine and ultra-fine powders. Ecutec provides complete integrated turnkey systems as well as precision, stand-alone equipment. Ecutec turnkey systems are based on Ecutec classifier technology. These systems typically include a mill, classifier and peripherals for a complete particle size reduction circuit.


Ecutec offers four different series of classifiers. First, the ALPHA series are dynamic classifiers that are designed for the production of fine products below 40 µm. Secondly, the NEA Series air classifiers have been developed specifically for ultra-fine products with high added value. Next, the TFS series are horizontal dynamic classifiers that produce ultra-fine products down to d98<2 µm on an industrial scale at a highly competitive energy consumption compared to alternative process technologies. Finally, the ULS series of classifiers belong to the family of internal draught or unit air classifiers.


Ecutec also offers 3 different series of mills: the SMW series of pin mills, the KGM series of ball mills, and the VRM series of vertical roller mills.


Ecutec is highly experienced in all kinds of dry and wet processes especially for products of 5 microns or below. Applications include but are not limited to the following: calcium carbonates, talcum, mica, quartz, zircon oxide, alumina barites, foodstuff and chemical products.
