The BTUX 305 pilot separator is suitable for feed rates up to 2000 l/h, is available in a variety of configurations and therefore can be adapted for virtually any application. Suitable for hazardous materials, as it meets ATEX requirements for zones 1 or 2. It can be supplied with an inert gas purge system, thus ensuring a high level of safety. When operating in a biological hazard, the system can be supplied in a hermetic version for steam sterilization, which meets NIH requirements for BLS2. Applications The machine is designed for clarification duty, separating particles from one liquid, especially shear sensitive particles. The sterilizability makes the machine suitable for most biotechnological separation duties. The solids content in the feed is normally in the range of 1–20 % by volume, but can vary between different duties.
