Besides the structure of the mobile beam with a larger section, all the axes are controlled by a double gantry drive. The system with double pinion/reduction gear and electronic regulation of preload allows the maximum positioning precision offered by a rack-and-pinion transmission system. Therefore the benefit is an increased rigidity of the system, a higher quality of surface machining and the actual exploitation of the accelerations allowed by the structure. All axes are equipped with direct measurement systems.
It is the ideal advanced solution to obtain very high performances in the machining of moulds, structural aluminium elements.
