TDK offers both TMR sensors and Hall-effect sensors for angle measurements. TMR angle sensors are high-output, high-accuracy, and high-stability sensors that apply TMR (Tunnel Magneto Resistance) technology, which has shown excellent results in HDD heads, in a small package. Particular Hall-effect sensors, so-called direct-angle sensors, make use the 3D HAL technology featuring additional vertical Hall plates to enable the measurement of magnetic field components in the chip plane. These sensors provide an output signal, which is proportional to the angle and position information.
