The spectral characteristics of plants and soil is of high interest to farmers since it "tells" the quality and needs of the fields. Beside the tractor-based N-Sensor system of Yara, tec5 offers a robust, portable unit with the HandySpec Field, mainly for scientific purpose in agriculture, precision farming and remote sensing. The system is based upon the same accepted and appreciated technology.
The HandySpec system can also be designed for direct use on tractors and harvesters for e.g measurements of biomass and plant canopy modeling.
