A universal packing for paper mills which is based on a compound fibre that unites very high mechanical resistance (tensile strength 25,000 kg/cm2) with a very low friction coefficient, thereby reducing abrasion by up to one tenth of that produced by aramid fibres, increasing, at the same time, the life of the packing. This fibre has an excellent chemical resistance, and so can even be used in cellulose production where a greater chemical resistance is required compared to normal paper production. The packing is also extremely soft thanks to an exclusive three-stages process of lubrication: on the thread, on the core strand and on the packing with PTFE in suspension, which further reduces the wear of the bushings.
