Description

Packing composed of discontinuous para-aramid yarn. It is ecological, non-abrasive, and made of a continuous interconnected braid of thermostable synthetic fibres, which are impregnated with a PTFE lubricant, free from APFO-PFOA, and a special silicone-free “running-in” lubricant. This packing is not as rigid as conventional synthetic braided packings, and for this reason is easily adapted to the shape of stuffing boxes. It is installed without difficulty and requires minimum gland tightening, as well as few adjustments. It adapts well to shaft bushings, has a high resistance to extrusion, does not run colour, it is easy to handle and does not dirty. In addition to providing all the properties of braided packings in general, it also has an excellent flexibility, does not cause significant wear to the shaft (as with other synthetic fibres), does not cause electrolytic pitting (as with carbon and graphite fibres) and does not pose limits on shaft speed or problems of elongation/extrusion typical of PTFE fibres.
