Available in diameters from 3mm to 20mm, they are highly resilient, versatile and have excellent space filling properties. The basic fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible and suitable for temperatures up to 550˚C. They are resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals, but direct contact with live steam should be avoided. The fibres will not rot and are unaffected by fungi, insects and bacteria etc.
