Texturized E Glass sleeving is braided from fine uniform textured filaments of high bulk 'E' type glass fibre yarns. They differ from other glass fibre tapes in that they are extra soft think and pliable with excellent thermal insulation properties. Cheshire Ribbon fibres are inorganic, sterile and incombustible; they are resistant to oils, solvents and most chemicals and have a low level of leachable chlorides and fluorides. They are suitable for temperatures up to 550˚C and have low thermal conductivity typically 0.05W/mk.
Tubular braiding construction ensures an extremely elastic and flexible sleeve. Their excellent insulation capabilities make them a good choice as economical hose and cable protection where molten splash is not a factor.
Available in a wide range of bore diameters 20mm - 100mm.
