Spun Para-Aramid Packing (Square)Para-Aramid packing is made using spun recycled para-aramid heat resistant yarn that provides the packing with good thermal characteristics, exceptional tensile strength and mechanical resistance to shearing and abrasion.The square section enables the packing to wrap the whole resting surface of the sliding rollers completely thus preventing the sheets of glass from coming into contact with metal parts that could damage and mark the hot surface that is still soft.Para-Aramid packings are even, homogeneous and have a very smooth surface.Rated to 250°C, after which the fibre begins to char and carbonise.It does not drip, melt, combust or flame.As the fibres are recycled these packings are more economical but have a slightly lower temperature rating than virgin continuous filament para-aramid packings.
