Solidly built, compact HILCO starters can provide starts within 30 to 40 seconds using pressurized air or natural gas actuation. And they are capable of extended purge times of five minutes or longer. These starters are field-proven to provide high torque on demand for cranking gas turbine and reciprocating engines.
Pneumatic Starters
Used for starting industrial gas turbines and reciprocating engines. The machine will operate and produce torque with any type of pressurized gas as long as the pressure differential across the machine is maintained.
Overruning Clutch
Featuring a roller-ramp design, the clutch, when engaged, transmits power via a cam and roller assembly connected to the input shaft. The clutch provides automatic disengagement when the input torque drops to zero, allowing the output shaft to overrun.
