The SX8AM thermal overload protector combines the protection of the automatic reset protector with a self-holding feature. Designed to prevent over-heating in larger motors, the self-hold action SX8AM, once activated in a fault condition, maintains its open state until power is removed. No reset button allows for locating the device at the heat source. Simply remove power to reset. A reliable, cost effective alternative to off-winding bimetal protectors.
