Description

The spiral mat is a measurement and control device for the efficient and precise production of curved handrails for newel and spiral staircases. Decisive for the precise fit of a tube spiral is the bending radius and the twisting of the tube in relation to the rolled out length.The spiral mat signals an end to this. The spiral mat consists of an electronic control unit, as well as an elec. measurement system for measuring the tube rotation and an elec. measurement system for measuring the rolled out length. The spiral mat measures the turning and feeding of the tube constantly during the bending process. Deviations from the target value are signalled to the operator by a “traffic light” (this is a combination of signal lamps in a vertical configuration) red / amber / green / amber / red. Precisely set turning is indicated by a green signal lamp. No further corrections are required in this case. If an amber or red signal lamp illuminates then correction is required. Production of the spiral takes place precisely and extremely efficiently. There is no need to stop the machine during the bending process. APPLICATION: For all staircase production and metalwork operations, as well as contract bending companies who require simple and precise methods for the production of precisely dimensioned spirals
