Description
Capacitor Discharge Studs are designed to be welded to thin gauge sheet material using tip ignition according to the capacitors discharge welding process.
Standard material for CFK CD Studs are: Low Carbon Copper Flashed Steel, Stainless Steel.
The stud flange is designed according to EN ISO 13918.
Studs made of steel 4.8 are protected against corrosion by copper coating. (Thickness : 3 to 5 µm)
CFK Studs are used to make electrical contact in automotive and industrial applications.
CFK Studs are welded using the Capacitors Discharge process, which allows the studs to be welded to thin base material with good strength.
