Tigercat LS855C shovel logger
The Tigercat LS855C shovel logger is primarily designed to forward timber over extremely steep terrain. Unlike excavator-based shovel loggers with add on forestry packages, the LS855C is purpose-built for heavy duty cycle forestry applications.
Some of the many advantages over excavator-based machines include better service access, more cooling capacity, stronger undercarriage components, a well proven leveling system and extremely efficient hydraulic circuits. The result is significantly higher production and uptime and better fuel efficiency for lower processing cost per tonne.

Efficient ER boom technology for quick cycle times, reduced fuel consumption and less operator fatigue.
Energy recovery, closed loop, twin swing system for greater system efficiency and higher productivity
Excellent access to engine, valves and pumps through fully retracting clamshell style roof enclosure with swing out door on both both sides of the machine.
Engine is separated from all hydraulic components
Automatic variable speed cooling fan with automatic reversing cycle for improved fuel economy.
FH400 forest duty undercarriage with long track frames and wide stance carbody designed and built by Tigercat.
Extreme duty leveling system with massive pins, cylinders and thick steel plate.
367 kN (82,600 lbf) tractive effort for high performance in extreme terrain.
Large front-entry cab with floor to ceiling front windshield and side door accessing expansive area behind the seat.
