Description

The force required to deflect a span length by a given amount is related to the tension in the belt. The tensiometer measures that deflection. Proper belt tensioning is one of the most important factors for satisfactory operation and long service life. Too little tension will result in slippage, causing rapid belt and sheave wear. Too much tension can result in excessive stress on the belts, bearings, and shafts. Single Stem – Part # 102761 Use on v-belts with A, B, C, AX, BX, CX, 3V, 5V, 8V, 3VX, 5VX and 8VX cross sections which have force ranges below 30 pounds and are one inch or less in width Measures force from 0-35 lbs. (0-15.9 Kg.) and belt tension from 0-560 lbs. (0-255 Kg.) on belts up to one inch in width Double Stem – Part # 105575 Functions the same as the single stem tool but services belts to 3″ in width Use on banded belts 3V and 3VX belts with 2 to 6 ribs, 5V and 5VX belts with 2 to 3 ribs, A, AX, B, BX belts with 2 or 3 ribs, C and CX belts with 2 ribs Force range of 0-66 lbs. Triple Stem – Part # 105576 Functions the same as the single stem tool but services belts to 5″ in width Use on banded belts 3V and 3VX belts through 10 ribs, 5V and 5VX belts through 6 ribs, 8V and 8VX through 4 ribs, A-AX and B-BX belts through 6 ribs, C-and CX belts through 4 ribs, and D section belts through 3 ribs Force range of 0-99 lbs.
