Chopped and milled fibers are mainly used to enhance the mechanical properties of thermoplastic resins. In addition, the good electrical conductivity of carbon fiber achieves an electromagnetic shielding (EMI) in a variety of applications. These properties establish Tenax® chopped and milled carbon fibers for use in housing components of electrical appliances or injection moulded parts in mechanical engineering and automotive industry. Tenax® chopped and milled fibers are supplied in a variety of sizes to be used, apart from thermoplastic resins, with thermosets and in water-based processes.
