TOREX®MAKSPEC® is a textile material with outstanding resistance to bacteria such as methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), the bacteria responsible for many hospital infections, and the pathogenic colibacillus O-157. Its antibacterial performance is 3 to 5 times stronger than that of conventional antibacterial fabrics, even after repeated industrial laundering. Because the antibacterial treatment uses no formalin, MAKSPEC® offers greater safety and lower environmental impact, and is widely used as a fabric for rented uniforms such as nurse's uniforms and a variety of other nursing garments and bed linens.
