The press ram is moved into position over a toggle mechanism actuated by the hand lever. Once the ram is closed and a safety limit switch is tripped, the operator can actuate the 6 mm long pneumatic power stroke by pressing a pushbutton at the end of the lever. Releasing the lever or the pushbutton returns the cylinder and the lever to the start position.
