GENERAL INFORMATION
Vitrified Honing Rings
The cutting materials is embedded in a purely vitrified bond. Vitrified honing rings have a very high E-modulus which means that they are extremely rigid and strong. The cutting material is firmly anchored in the vitrified bond. Vitrified honing rings are an excellent choice for high performance honing - assuming that the machine systems fulfill the necessary technical requirements. In high performance honing both the micro-structure and the macrostructure of the workpiece are systematically produced.
Compound Honing Rings
The outstanding stock-removal properties of a vitrified honing ring combined with the properties of epoxy resin bonding. We offer high-performance specifications which are adapted to all types of honing machines.
Epoxy Resin Honing Rings
Aluminium oxides or sintered aluminium oxides are embedded in an epoxy resin matrix. The resin bonded honing ring has a very low E-modulus and therefore very high elasticity. Specially adjusted honing ring designs and specifications are available for all machine types.
