Pocket X-ray meter for medical applications
Unfors RaySafe
Unfors
The Unfors RaySafe is very easy to use. Simply position the meter under the X-ray beam and make one exposure. The three display messages clearly indicate the status of your intra-oral X-ray machine; OK, ATTENTION or STOP. It only takes 10 seconds to use.
Unfors RaySafe - Keeping your patients safe!
It is not uncommon that the radiation from an X-ray machine changes over time. This may lead to the fact that you could expose your patients to an additional dose and thereby an unnecessary risk. New technology advances by Unfors makes it possible for anyone in the dental practice to ensure that any changes of the radiation output is recognized immediately for appropriate action.
Thereby, keeping your patients safe.
Unfors RaySafe
- New innovation for dental X-ray safety
- Simplicity designed for daily use
- Because you care about your patients
Radiation may be harmful!
Dental imaging utilizes radiation and thereby induces a risk, a risk to expose patients to radiation that may be harmful. This is why it’s common practice to protect the thyroid with a lead collar. It is of general interest (according to the ALARA* principle) to minimize the radiation as there is no lower threshold where radiation can be regarded as harmless. The United States based NCRP** recently released a report written by the national experts in the field which states: “Radiation’s effects should be considered to be proportional to the dose an individual receives, regardless of how small the dose is.”
