Valco Melton's Tissue Tack and Reel Systems are fully automatic, eliminating operator intervention and associated labor and safety issues. By spraying a tacky adhesive directly across the entire width of the tissue web at full speed during a reel transfer, the Valco Melton TT&R system reduces lost time and waste, often times having a payback of 3 months. Stability is improved by reducing the amount of recycled pulp. The system operates at any machine speed and basis weight (8.6 lbs to 26 lbs).
