Parcel sorting system
500 - 2 500 p/h | PAXORTER
VANDERLANDE INDUSTRIES
The Principle
The PAXORTER is a low cost sorter that sorts parcels
very gently and carefully. It is designed to meet the
needs of the Parcel & Postal Industry and Distribution
Centres for a dedicated sorter in the market sector of 1
500 - 2 500 parcels per hour.
The design is based on the standard belt conveyor. It
has special bed sections to which sorter units are
mounted. The simple design makes it easy to maintain.
The sort unit has a driven pop-up friction roller and a
driven static pull-off roller.
The products must be aligned before entry onto the
sorter, either manually during loading or automatically
with a skewed roller section.
When the parcel arrives at the selected sort unit the
driven friction roller moves up, lifts the parcel and pulls
it into the output spur. The pull-off roller provides extra
power.
The PAXORTER can be applied in systems with single
sided sorting and in systems with dual sided sorting.
This last application requires a standardised pre-sort
module to align the products automatically to the
appropriate side of the sorter.
