The GDC series of machines are designed to greatly improve productivity. They are available with either single or dual headstocks. The spindle gear boxes are designed to deliver high torque in low speed cutting conditions, and constant power for high speeds. Advanced synchro-mesh technology is employed to move the bridge via a gear/rack system, resulting in highly improved positioning accuracy. These machines are perfectly suited for rapid processing of all types of tube and sheet stock in a single setup. The gantry style frame consists of two columns rigidly connected by a welded and stress-relieved assembly. All axes of the machine are driven by high-accuracy ballscrews, with the X and Y axes incorporating linear ways for increased rapid speeds up to 590 ipm.
