The Vanguard GTC series are vertical turning and milling centers which are designed to perform turning, milling and drilling functions in a single setup. These machines are suitable for both rough and finish machining of complicated parts such as motor shells, wheels, valve bodies, flanges, large motor bases, pump bodies, or any component requiring centralized multi-process machining. These machines are based on Japanese engineering and are constructed of high-grade alloyed cast iron, normalized and stress relieved to ensure maximum rigidity and stability. The single column construction features a symmetrically centered table, high precision NSK cylindrical roller bearings and NSK angular thrust bearings, ensuring heavy load capacity and high precision machining. The X and Z axes feature Heidenhain glass scales to ensure precision machining capability. A two-step planetary gear box delivers an impressive amount of torque for heavy duty machining, even at low table speeds.
